My daily work is modelling with wood. When I make something I am aware of
the resistance of the wood. The wood does not want to be or to be
shaped like I have borne in mind how it should be. A tree wants to be a
tree and not a staircase or a statue. Every day I am busy ‘taming’ the
wood just like a horse (in its heart a horse doesn’t want to be tamed).
When you have been working with a natural material as long as I’ve been
doing it and recognize its unbelievable beauty, you just can’t help
getting tremendously much awe for nature.
The few leisure hours I have I use to make free shape work. During my whole life I have been fascinated and busy shaping organic lines. But also life and its transitoriness. This branch is a result of ideas I have been working with in my mind for a long time. This is the first image which in some way approaches the creations of what I eventually like to make.

on the 6th day of Christmas I realized my true love is Sauron and he does not share power, I think these birds he gave me are spying on me, and he chopped down my pear tree after like the third day??
A solid start to thanksgiving day … Not to sound like a scrooge but I’m so done with the holidays. I just want to sit in my house and not socialize. I’m tired of being made to look the asshole and basically being forced to choose who I like more, who I’d rather spend the holiday with.
I don’t even like turkey all that much.
So I was just poking around Zenni and I found these and they have a purple version and I may be doomed

Oh man. I love those blue ones. I didn’t realize how badly I needed cats eye shaped glasses until now. (That’s a bold faced lie. I’ve always needed them)

I would love to make these, but no matter what quantity of mashed potatoes get made, there are never any left over. Stuffing? Tons. Gravy? I made a lake of it. Turkey? Always. No potatoes. Even when we double them.
We actually DO have leftover mashed potatoes, so… @unforth-ninawaters, thoughts?
